Wishlist privacy
& removal.

This page explains the community wishlist for Remnant Orbit, an independent game project by SaltByte Studios. Updated 19 October 2026.

What signing in does

With email, we send a confirmation link through Resend. The link expires after one hour and you must choose Confirm on the website before an entry is counted. Opening the email alone does not register you. Signing in again with the same email (ignoring letter case and surrounding spaces) restores access without adding another entry.

Facebook confirms which account is signing in. We request the public_profile permission and query only the account ID. A successful sign-in adds one entry to this website's wishlist. Signing in again with the same account does not add another entry.

This records your interest in the project. It does not make a purchase, reserve a copy, guarantee access, add the game to a store wishlist or subscribe you to messages.

Email and Facebook are separate sign-in methods. We do not link them automatically. The total counts registrations, not unique people: the same person can have an entry through each method.

What we keep

We keep a pseudonymous account identifier, the date you joined, and hashed sign-in session tokens with expiry dates. The public counter shows only the total number of entries.

We do not store your Facebook name, email, profile picture, friends, posts or Facebook access token. The wishlist does not request permission to post to your account or manage your Pages.

For email sign-in, we derive the identifier with a secret-key hash and do not store the address itself in our wishlist database. Resend receives the address and confirmation message to deliver the email and processes delivery records under its privacy policy. We keep only hashes of confirmation tokens. No tracking pixels are included in our email template.

To limit abusive requests, we also keep short-lived request counters using hashed IP addresses and email identifiers. We do not store raw IP addresses in these counters. They expire within a day and are cleaned up on later requests, together with expired confirmation links.

Cookies, hosting & retention

Your language choice is saved in this browser’s local storage. It contains only the language code.

The site uses this tab’s session storage to avoid repeating the wishlist invitation during the same visit. This preference contains no email address or account identifier.

Essential secure cookies protect the sign-in request and remember your session. A sign-in request expires after 10 minutes; a wishlist session expires after 30 days. Expired database records are cleaned up during later sign-ins. Your wishlist entry remains until you remove it.

Facebook provides authentication and processes data under its own privacy policy. Cloudflare hosts this website and the wishlist database; the database was created in its EU jurisdiction. These services also process connection and request information to deliver and protect their services.

Remove your wishlist data

Open the website wishlist.
If you are signed out, confirm a new link for the same email or sign in with the same Facebook account.
Choose “Remove my wishlist entry”. This deletes the entry and all of its website sign-in sessions, and updates the public total.

You can join again later by signing in. Removal from this website does not affect wishlists held on other websites.

“Sign out” ends only the current session and keeps your entry. Removing an entry also invalidates its pending email links.
